Candis creatively designed sessions to address his reading and language skills, and found ways to not only connect with my son, but helped him find new confidence in himself.
Candis also spent time with my husband and I to give us ways to help him at home. She went out of her way to participate in conference calls to collaborate with his 1st grade teacher and IEP instructor so that there could be continuity of care and maximize the results of my son’s progress. After a year of services, my son is now a confident reader!”

“When my son was 8 years old, he was not able to read or write and was not showing any interest in learning. Candis used all different kinds of strategies to help him to learn, and soon he was reading at a fourth grade level. My son is now 23 years old, but he has never lost his connection with her, sometimes calling her to ask for advice in regards to schoolwork or to discuss college transfers and applications. I am very much in debt and thankful for having Candis in my son’s life and in our family.”

“Candis has been working with our daughter for the past year and a half. Our daughter was diagnosed with ADD after she graduated from high school. She was struggling with organizing her life, studying, focus, budgeting and maintaining relationships. She started working with a psychiatrist and a psychologist. This treatment didn’t give her the practical life skills she needed along with medication in order to be successful. Candis began meeting with our daughter twice weekly and helped her developed specific plans and skills that she can implement in her daily walk.
Our daughter is now so much happier, works, attends school and is able to share her big heart with friends and family. She was recently accepted as a transfer student from community college to a University of California campus. I highly recommend Candis. She is very knowledgable about ADD, offers excellent individualized care and is a lovely woman to be around.”
